Smithtown Holds Department and Company Elections Remotely

A historic election was held at Smithtown Fire Department's headquarters and across the web on Thursday, April 9, 2020. In accordance with social distancing, these elections were held over video conference with online voting. Former Chief Tim Murphy chaired the election meeting with a minimal group gathered in the main meeting room and members signing in from home. The Chiefs Staff was re-elected for another term and is shown above being sworn in virtually by the Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners. A historic night indeed!
